This iron was used to make Japanese "KATANA" Swords, Teakettles, and Chisels, until a couple of centuries ago. Nowadays, only a few studios in the world are creating teakettles made of of such high purity cast iron.

Our Japanese cast iron tea pots are not only beautiful, but are practical as well. They hold heat exceptionally well; are unbreakable as well as rust-resistant due to a high quality enamel interior coat. All tea pots contain a strainer inside which touches the bottom of the pot to give an even infusion as it allows a full circulation of tea during the infusion process.
